Open Water Diver Course

Diving will transform your life and Open Water Diver is where it all begins.  The certification process requires pool training, academic knowledge and open water diving. These steps can easily be worked into any schedule with our online academics and pool schedules.  We offer pool and academic training all year long and for your open water diving you can take a referral or dive locally with us May thru October.

Study when you are ready and move at your own pace. The classroom portion is completed online using the PADI Online Course link. You will pay PADI directly but you will need to use this link to ensure you have registered as an Aquatic Realm Student.

Pool Training w/Training Materials

This step prepares you for your open water training dives and certification.

(Pre-Registration Required with Aquatic Realm after academic (online)enrollment.  Space Limited due to small class sizes!  Register Early!) This is where the fun begins.  Once you have finished your academic studies it's time to go diving.  The pool training begins.  All sessions must be attended in order based on course standards.  Referral paperwork is included in this fee.

Each Student Must Have Their Own Boots, Mask, Snorkel & Fins before the pool session, come in and let us fit you by our professional fit experts.

Our Pool is Onsite, Indoor & Heated, built exclusively for SCUBA training

Open Water Training Dives & Entrance Fee

(Includes Training, BCD, Regulators, Tanks (Air Fills), Weights & Wetsuit)

To complete your PADI Open Water training you will go on four supervised Open Water Dives, revisiting some of your newly learned skills.  Done over two days at our local private dive site.

Note: Dive Computer and/or Underwater Timing Device Required but not included in above price.

Fine Print

Enrollment requirements:

  1. Payment (in person or over the phone) is required at time of enrollment along with completed medical release form to reserve spot.
  2. Must complete academics prior to attending first class session.
  3. Enrollment closes 3 days prior to start of class.
  4. All paperwork and class requirements must be completed prior to start of first class.
  5. Fees are fully earned upon start of class, there are no refunds on unused portions.
  6. Failure to attend (no-show) your scheduled class or requesting a refund less than 96 hours before class starts results in No Refund.
  7. Full Course Refund minus $50 Administrative Fee, if requested 96 hours before start of class.
  8. Course Rescheduling Fee is $50 per occurrence
  9. Academic Materials are not refundable.
  10. Each student must have their own set of new/unused materials.

Academic Training valid for 1 year - Pool Training valid for 1 year

If it is less than 6 months between pool and open water training with Aquatic Realm Scuba Center one pool refresher will be required at no charge prior to open water at Aquatic Realm. Additional refreshers are $85 each. 6 months to a year since training the required refresher will be $150 and a quiz may be required. Longer than 12 months and you will need to retake the entire course at full price.
