Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI)

Earn the most sought after Instructor rating in the World. Become a PADI Instructor.

Taken independently or as part of the IDC, this course is designed to prepare you for the Instructor Examination (IE) and begin your new career as a PADI Instructor. You will learn how to effectively teach and market your new skills in the dive industry. Upon successful completion of the IE, you will be able to independently teach the PADI Open Water, Adventures in Diving, Rescue and Divemaster programs. Must be a PADI Assistant Instructor, equivalent or Instructor in good standing from another organization, have 60 logged dives and be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of 6 days required.

Pre-Requisites: PADI Assistant Instructor (or an Instructor with a qualifying training agency)

 

Course Content: Includes classroom sessions, pool and open water training. Course assumes demonstration quality skill sets in diving and rescue. If additional training is required additional fees will apply. Online Academics are required for this class.

Course Time: 6 days after completion of online course.

  • IDC eLearning Online Class and IDC Crew-Pak.

*Above Fees Do Not Include: PADI Application Fees, Additional Dive Fees/Entrance Fees, Tank Fills or Dive Gear.  Enrollment Requires Course Materials and Online course to be purchased through Aquatic Realm Scuba Center.

Independent diving to accomplish required dives, skill practice training, make-up training, etc. will be required in addition to above listed class dates.
